Poker, Golf, Beer, Ceegars, aand Fishing. That was the extent of my trip in MN and it was a blast, it went by ultimately to fast. I got into town and my Old Man picked me up at the airport, and off to Champps we went to have some lunch and meet my grandparents. I really needed a shower, but my Old Man wouldn't let me because he thought we would be late, so I hoped there weren't any hotties working. We got there and were welcomed by our favorite bartender Barbie. I ordered some of the best soup in the world, cheesy potato soup, and then the Old Man and I decided to play a three game series of Silverstrike Bowling. It is from the same company as Golden Tee and the game rocks, I am also pretty good at it, unlike Golden Tee. I started off dominating the Old Man, but had an abismol (sp?) second game and trailed by 30 pins going into the third. Well, the Old Man couldn't handle the pressure, and relinquished his lead, and
I was victorious once again =). My Grandparents showed up, we ate lunch, smoked a good cuban, caught up a bit, and left. The Old Man smoked some more ceegars and I taught him rummy 500, he never won a game, lol.
In the morning, the Old Man let me take his shaguar, that car rocks, up to Two Harbrs to visit my mom, as per usual, she cried when I got there. I spent a little time with her and then she went to work, and me and my bro's went to a movie, The Descent. Quite possiibly the worst movie I have ever seen. I proceeded to play some video games and with the animals and left in the morning.
When I got back to the cities, I went to golf league with my Dad, and played with Smoke, a new guy, two other Donnelly Brothers, and Chewy. I got in the skins for league, proxies, and a skins game within our group. I didn'tt really play all that good, but still managed a 38, but won a skin in league, a proxy, and 7 skins in my intergroup game. I ended up winning like $100 or so, bubt $46 of it I'll never see, lol. It was fun to play with Smoke and some of the guys again. We then went to a few bars wth Sletten, who was on fire. this guy is an absolute riot, but when he is on fire, he brngs it to another level, and its definately a sight to see.
The following day, we went to golf at Crystal Lake and my grandpa came along to smoke ceegars and caddy. He doesn't golf much anymore, but says he has more fun just watching My Dad, My Uncle, and me. We then drove up to the cabin on Friday morning and played a new glf course in Rush City, My Uncle and I liked it, but my Old Man didn't, it probably had something to do with the 104 he shot, lol. Then it was too the cabin to fish, play poker, and drink beer. Pretty standard for the cabin.
On Saturday, My Mom, and bro's came up, and Stefan brought hhis sweet new car and a friend, who believe he will land as girlfriend soon, named Jenny or as we liked to call her, Jennaayy, like Forrest Gump. My mom talked my Aunt's ears off, and we did somoe fishing and smoking ceegars. Later in the evening we all went fishing, and had our standard fishing contest. I had a commmanding lead with the night closing near, which was directly related to my brother, christian's, superb ability at picking minnows. Well, my uncle smartened up, and started grabbing minnows from Christian, and ended up making a mad dash, catching 4 in like 15 minutes and ended up beating me, arg! Then it was on to family poker, but my brother and jeennnaayy had to leave, whch sucked, because they wanted to play poker. Christian got in the action, and it looked like he knew what he was dooing now, until I saw him call down with K3 high, lol. I guess i'll have to teach him a little more, but my Old Man gave him hs buy-in back. My mom and brother wanted to stay, and I wish they would've, but they had to work n tthe morning, so they left.
We drove back the next day, because Erbo was out of ceegars, sorry eric, =) and then smoked the ceegars i bought for us at erbo's house. I said my goodbyes to everyone after that, and me and the Old Man hit the regular stops. He unfortunately got lucky and finally beat me at silverstrke, CRAP!!!!
I flew out the next day, and realized I would like to be back in MN for the summers, so we'll see if I can work that out for next year. It was fun seeing everyone and I look forward to doing it again.
I had my fantasy football draft a few days ago, and my old man and uncle were in the league also. It should be a good league and I am really excited for week one.
